Link / Scam Checker

Not sure if a link is safe to click? Paste it below and we’ll check it against Google Safe Browsing — the same database Chrome and other major browsers use to flag phishing, malware, and scam sites. It’s free, and we never store the links you check.

This checks the link against Google Safe Browsing's list of known phishing, malware, and unwanted-software sites. It's a helpful signal, not a 100% guarantee - always use your own judgment before clicking or entering personal details.

What this checks

This tool queries Google’s Safe Browsing service for known threats tied to the link, including phishing pages, malware, unwanted software, and other social-engineering scams. It’s the same signal used to show the “dangerous site” warning in Chrome.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does a “Safe” result guarantee the link is trustworthy?

No. “Safe” means Google has no known threat on record for that link right now — it isn’t a guarantee. New scam sites can exist for a while before they’re detected and added to the database. Always use your own judgment, especially with links asking for money or personal details.

What does “Could not verify” mean?

It means we couldn’t get a reliable answer back — usually a temporary connectivity or service issue, or you’ve checked a lot of links in a short time and hit our fair-use limit. It doesn’t mean the link is unsafe; just try again in a minute.

Do you store the links I check?

No. The link you submit is sent securely to Google’s Safe Browsing service for a lookup and the result is shown to you — it isn’t logged against you or shared anywhere else.

Is this tool free?

Yes, completely free with no sign-up required.
