Broken Link Checker

Paste a page URL and we’ll check every link on it for broken (4xx/5xx) or unreachable pages, up to 25 links per check. It’s free, and there’s no sign-up required.

Checks up to 25 links found on the page for broken (4xx/5xx) or unreachable status. Links pointing to private, local, or internal addresses, or to domains that couldn't be resolved at all (like an expired or no-longer-registered domain), are skipped for security reasons and shown as "blocked", not "broken". This is a live check against each linked page's current state - results can change over time.

What this checks

Every link on the page is checked concurrently and graded OK, Redirect, or Broken based on its live HTTP status. Links pointing to private, local, or internal network addresses, or to domains that couldn’t be resolved at all (like an expired or no-longer-registered domain), are skipped for security reasons and shown as “Blocked” rather than “Broken” – we never fetch those. Checks are capped at 25 links per submission to keep response times predictable.

Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as a broken link?

Any link that returns a 4xx (like 404 Not Found) or 5xx (server error) status code, or that we couldn’t connect to at all.

What does “Blocked” mean?

It means the link points to a private, local, or internal network address, or to a domain that couldn’t be resolved at all – for example, an expired or no-longer-registered domain. Either way, we deliberately don’t fetch it. It’s not a judgment on whether that link works – we simply didn’t check it.

Why only 25 links per check?

Checking links happens concurrently and live, in real time, while you wait – a cap keeps response times predictable on our hosting. If your page has more than 25 links, only the first 25 found are checked.

Is this tool free?

Yes, completely free with no sign-up required.
